I’m always reading, which means that I’ve developed a pretty clear sense of what works and how writers create books readers love. I love plotting outlines, digging into random topics I didn’t expect to care about, and relocating misplaced modifiers. My work covers both developmental editing and sentence-level refinement. I look at how ideas are organized, whether the pacing works, and where something might need to be rethought. Then I focus on clarity and flow, making sure the writing reads naturally and doesn’t accidentally confuse the reader.
I love playing RPGs and narrative-driven video games, creating art with oil pastels, and walking my dogs along the foggy coastline (there’s a lot of it where I live in the Bay Area) that transports me into a fantasy novel.
I have a BA in English, a minor in editing, and eight years of professional editing experience.
